How the free model works
Free vending machines in Michigan: how the no-cost model actually works
"Free" gets used loosely in vending, so it's worth spelling out exactly what it means here: no equipment cost, no lease payment, no invoice to your business, ever. Here's how that actually works.
Where the money comes from
We earn revenue from the products sold through the machine itself, not from your business. That's the entire model — there's no hidden service fee, no minimum purchase commitment on your end, and no monthly bill. If the machine isn't stocked with things people actually want, it doesn't sell, and neither of us makes money — so keeping it full and working is entirely on us.
What "free" actually includes
- The machine itself — no purchase, no lease
- Installation and setup
- Ongoing restocking on a set route
- Repairs and maintenance
What it doesn't include
We're not going to pretend there's no fine print at all. This model depends on steady foot traffic — a location with almost no daily activity isn't a good fit for either side, and we'll say so honestly rather than install a machine that just sits there. It's also not a revenue-share arrangement paid out to your business; the "free" part is that it costs you nothing, not that you're paid to host it.
Why this is different from a lease or a coin-op purchase
Some vending arrangements involve either buying a machine outright or leasing one with a monthly payment regardless of sales. Ours doesn't work that way — there's no equipment cost or lease payment on your side under any circumstance.
