Vending machines for apartments: a low-cost amenity residents notice

Apartment amenities usually cost money — a fitness room, a package locker system, a clubhouse. A vending machine is one of the few that doesn't.

Where it fits in a property

Most placements land in a leasing office lobby, a mail/package room, a fitness center, or a common-area laundry room — anywhere residents already pass through at odd hours. Late at night after the corner store closes, or on a Sunday when nobody wants to drive anywhere for a drink, that machine is doing quiet work for resident satisfaction.

It doesn't touch the property's budget

There's no equipment cost, no install fee, and no line item to justify to ownership. The machine gets installed, stocked, and maintained on our schedule, and the property doesn't manage inventory or handle service calls.

It shows up in resident feedback

Amenities that residents actually use tend to show up in renewal conversations and online reviews more than the ones that just look good on a floor plan. A stocked, working vending machine is a small, tangible thing people notice — especially if theirs is the only building nearby that has one.

What property managers ask us most

  • Does it need power or plumbing hookups beyond a standard outlet? No — just a standard outlet and a reasonably flat floor.
  • Who handles a jam or a broken bill acceptor? We do. Residents call or text the number on the machine, and it gets serviced on our route.
  • Can it be placed in a secured, resident-only area? Yes, and that's actually where most of ours end up.
